In the past year 32,000,000 artificial Flanders poppies, to be sold on Armistice Day, have been made by disabled ex-servicemen at the British Legion's factory at Richmond. Within the next two weeks they will all have been distributed to about 3000 local committees throughout Britain. It 'is anticipated that £500,000 will be raised for disabled ex-servicemen toy the sale of these emblems in the streets.
