The Earl of Orford, accompanied by the Countess of Orford and their small daughter, the Hon. Anne Walpole, arrived by the Ruahine on Friday. The Earl intends making a lengthy stay in the Dominion for health reasons.

A daughter of Lord Orford, who arrived in Wellington from England on Friday, is Lady Dorothy Mills, the author of that interesting and entertaining book, "Beyond the Bosphorous," has, so states an English exchange, a dazzlingly-painted front door to her house in Ebury Street. Lord Orford has been twice married, and has a daughter only by each marriage. Lady Dorothy Mills is the daughter of his first marriage to an American lady, Miss Corbin. The heir is an Eton boy of 15, Robert Montgomerie Walpole, a distant cousin of Lord Orford, who will succeed, not to the earldom of Orford, which becomes extinct on the death of the present holder, but to the barony of Walpole.
