SEPTEMBER EXPORTS HEAVY.

IMPORTS TO BRITAIN.

Shipments of butter from the Dominion for the month of September totalled 218,582 boxes, compared with 160,777 in September, 1927. Of last month's output 74.39 was consigned and 25.61 had been sold f.o.b.

Cheese shipped in . September last totalled 24,697 crates, against 16,990 in September, 1927. Of last month's output 81.43 was consigned and 18.55 sold f.o.b. The season's shipments, from August 1 to September 30, together with those sent during the corresponding period of 1927, shown in parentheses, have been as f0110w:—271,214 (225,516) boxes of butter and 27,030 (16,990) crates of cheese. Australia shipped in August and September 132,600 boxes of butter and 249 tons of cheese, compared with 22,100 boxes of butter and 330 crates of cheese for the same period in 1927. Imports into Britain for September totalled 326,584ewt of butter, against 402,708 in September, 1927, and 428,608 in September, 1926. - A most successful month has been experienced by the East Tamaki Co-opera-tive Dairy Compauy, Limited, a distribution being made of £8030, at the rate of 1/6% per lb butterfat, against £5349 for the corresponding month last year. Butter made for the month amounted to 57 torus 7cwt, as against 36 tons for September of last year.
