PATIENT IN HOSPITAL.

Badly . cut about the body with broken glass, John Evans, aged 28, of 50, Vincent Street, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital this morning.

Other occupants of the house were aroused.at 4 a.m. by the crash of breaking glass, and Evans was found lying on the floor of his bedroom bleeding profusely.

St. John Ambulance was summoned, and the injured man was given first aid before being removed. He was suffering considerably from shock and loss of blood.

When he had recovered somewhat Evans said he had had nightmare, and, jumping out of bed, had rushed towards the nearest light, which happened to be through the bedroom window. He- did not realise what had happened until he found himself bleeding and lying on the floor.
