BOXING.
OBOTIKI ASSOCIATION.

OPOTIKI, Friday.
It was stated at the annual meeting of the Opotikl Boxing Association that the year had been most successful. The three amateur tournaments held had each been a financial success, and had brought the overdraft down from £190 to about £20. The assets were worth £120.
The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr. J. J. Moody; president, Mr. J. Shaw; secretary, Mr. C. G. Hunt; tressnrer, Mr. H. Larmer; hon. surgeon. Dr. ,Budd; timekeepers, Messrs. H. Larmer and S. Jephson; announcer, Mr. S. Jephson; auditor, Mr. T. H. Pearson; clerk of scales, Mr. L. Macintosh, Messrs. Butt, Burton. Johnson and Matchitt were elected to fill vacancies on the committee.
