SHOP DOOR FORCED OPEN

HAMILTON, this day.

Mr. Doleman, a tobacconist in Cammerce Street, Frankton, yesterday missed a silver watch from a drawer in his shop. This puzzled him, as he knew nobody on the premises was likely to have stolen the watch, and he was led to milr> further investigations, during which he discovered that a quantity of tobacco had been stolen.

The front door of the shop had beea forced, although the lock had not been wrenched off.

It is believed that the burglary was committed on Wednesday night, although the discovery was only made yesterday
