"A confirmed drunkard and halfimbecile," was Chief Detective Hammond's description of Alfred Ogier, who appeared at the Police Court this morning before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., on three charges of theft. The charges related to the theft of a lady's fur valued at £8 8/, another fur valued at £5 and a watch valued at £6 6/. Accused pleaded guilty.
