SEASON CLOSES TO-MORROW.

FALCON CUP FINAL TIE,

PONSONBY AGAINST TRAMWAYS,

The final of the Falcon Cup to-morrow afternoon on Blandford Park will signalise the close of the 1928 Soccer season. The contenders are Ponsonby and Tramways, holders of the senior championship, and a rousing game is confidently looked for. The corporation side will make a determined struggle to achieve "the double," the two honours of the local Soccer code, but Ponsonby have always been noted cup tie fighters, and, having lost the championship to Trams by one point only, are out to reap their revenge. The game will be preceded by a fourth grade championship final, North Shore v. Burnley, and the youngsters, it will be found, will provide a contest well worth seeing.
