PORT DARWIN SAILED.

H.M.S. VERONICA RETURNED.

The tonnage in port was materiallydecreased this morning by the departure of the Lionel for New Plymouth and the Port Darwin for Wellington, while the Wairuna is to sail later in the day for Vancouver.

The only overseas arrival after the Canadian Explorer from Montreal yesterday afternoon was H.M.s. Veronica, which returned this morning from four months' cruise in the Islands.

Expected arrivals to-morrow include the new motorship Earamea from London, while the Saltersgate, from Nauru, is due on Sunday.

The Wingatui is to sail at noon to-mor-row for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Timaru.

The Waimea left Gisborne at noon yesteida.v for Xapier, where she arrived at 10 o'clock last night. She is to leave Xapier for Auckland at 11.30 p.m. to-day, and is due here on Sunday, berthing at the King's wharf.

The Kurow has been delayed at Dunedin by wet weather, and cannot leave there for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland before to-morrow.

The Katoa, en route from southern ports, is delayed at Xapier. The Waipiata was to leave Wellington at 10 p.m. yesterday for Napier and Auckland. The Kaimanawa arrived last night from Westport, via Xew Plymouth, and berthed at the Prince s wharf. Due at Auckland from Liverpool on Tuesday next, the Federal steamer Hertford -8 to discbarge ■ the local portion of her cargo at the Queen's wharf to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. Leaving Sydney to-ay, the Union Company's passenger steamer Maheno is due at Auckland on Tuesday morning, and has been allotted a berth at the Queen's wharf.
