TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.

Business showed improvement on 'Change this morning. XCenown Collieries have now recovered the drop in prices. At the first call sales were made at 16/. Pukemiro Collieries eased a little at the noon call, a seller quoting £3 9/6, with buyers at 6d less.

Bank of New South Wales had business at £51 5/, and at the last call yestsrday £ 1 10/ was accepted for Commercial , an .K. ordinary issue. Sales were made of In ational Insurance at 16/4, and of Northern Steam at 14/3. P. and 0. deferred stock (£1) were asked for at £2 H/; but sellers want £2 13/. New Zealand a " cl R'ver Plate shares could be placed at £ }}K' also Bycoft, Ltd., at £1 12/, a rise ot ba in each case. National Mortgage also firmed 1/, buyers olTering £4 5/ New Zealand Breweries were again in demand 00-day at £2 14/, but there were no quoted sellers. Waihi shares changed hands at 14/, which price could still be got, and business was done in Taranaki Oilfields at.
