NATIONAL INSURANCE
Federal Government's Scheme Completed. MODELLED ON BRITISH LINES. (Received 12 noon.) CANBERRA, this day. The Federal Government's scheme for national insurance against old age and invalidity has just been completed, but time will be given the Friendly Societies to study the objects. The cost of insurance will be borne jointly by the Government, the employers and the employees. Tho scheme will be restricted to persons earning less than £8 per week. An employee upon payment of 6d per week will be entitled to £1 weekly upon reaching the age of 00.
