ISLAND BAY LEAGUE.
I The jslaiu! Bay Progressive Leagu® held their monthly meeting at Mr Izant's home. Beach Road. Birkdale, on Saturday uxghi. Mr. Fowler was in tho chair. It was reported that the wharf ■was clear of debt. An offer from the Auckland Ferry Company was accepted of an annual donation for wharfage, also a reduction in travelling fares. A letter from one of the committee was read, expressing regret at a member going to the borough council without first bringing the matter before the league for their opinion as it affected the wiiadc of the residents.
