FEDERATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMEN.

Over forty members of the Auckland branch of the Federation of University Women were present at a meeting held on Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Talbot, Remuera Road. Several members who were visiting Auckland took the. opportunity of renewing old friendships. The guests were welcomed by Mi.-. Talbot and bv Mrs. Mulgan, the president of the association. The afternoon passed very pleasantly in conversation, and Miss Hansard sang some delightful songs. Several selections from "When We Were \ery \oung" were received u ith marked appreciation. Towards the close of the afternoon Mrs. Mulgan made a short speech thanking Mrs. Talbot for her hospitality. Mrs. Mulgan said it was hoped Dr. Margaret Knight would repiesent N"e\v Zealand at the conference of the International Federation shortly to be held in Madrid. She then read an interesting letter from one of the members of the Auckland Association who is travelling at present, which said: "I received an invitation to a party to he held at Crosby Hall.
