SILENT SEALEY.
THANKS THE MAGISTRATE. RECEIVER OF STOLEN PROPERTY. """Have you anything to say?" '•"No." was all that Leslie Henry George Sealey said in reply to Mr. W. R. McKean's question at the Police Court this morning. Sealey pleaded guilty to a charge of receiving tools and other fittings which had been stolen from a launch in fh* harbour. "The tale he telle us is that he got the tools from a man whom he did not know and sold them for hrm for 7/6." said Chief-Detective Hammond. "He is a seaman and ha« only been in NewZealand two years. Since his arrival here he ha« been in gaol on seven or right occasions, so he is quite an undesirable, who has been making good uee of his time. 7 ' After looking at Sealey* list of convictions, the magistrate sentenced him to three months' imprisonment. '"Thank you," said the silent man, as he wheeled round and made room in the dock for someone else.
