COMING ELECTION.
AUCKLAND SUBURBS SEAT, A meeting of supporters of Mr. E. R. Allen, United party candidate for Auckland Suburbs, was held in the R.A.0.8. Hall, Birkenhead, last evening. Amongst those present were candidates already selected to contest seats for the party. Mr. Allen gave a short address in condemnation of the Government. The time had arrived, he said, for a change of government, and lie urged his hearers to put forth every effort to return candidates at the general election who were carrying the banner of the new party. Messrs. Swindial, Sutcliffe, Sowden, G. Hadfield, Fraser and Warth were added to the Birkenhead committee, while Messrs. C. Laver, sen., C. Laver, jun., J. McNish, Lewis, S. McPhail, Hall, H. Seliorman, Stevenson, Minter, J. Alexander and L. Alexander were appointed a committee for Birkdale.
