Here is an interesting game for two people to play. Take two counters jMid place one on the circle marked A and the other on the circle marked B. Any two different counters will do, provided they are not too larze Now "toe object of the player on Ais to "capture" the plaver on B. To "do this he musft drive B into sucli a position that on B's next move he must eo to « circle which A can reach on his own next move. Moves are made ilont* the lines from one cirele to another, and A always plavs first to start the eaml No more than one circle can be included in a move; for instance A. who is we have said, has the first move, could move either ud into rf the diagram, or to the left to the next circle. Then B has a doi« oK moves—up, down, to his right, or to his left. An example of a winnin? rxwiH™, would be as follows: Suppose B has been driven to the circle marked A H Ais on the circle immediately below it; it is B's move. Then B munt m to the corner circle; he cannot go to his left, for if he does A captures hi™ U ? once. A then goes up to the diagonal line, whereupon B is tramw».l matter where he moves A captures him on the next move. lor no There is a system in playing this game, as there is in most <ram M sort- Get one of your friends to play A and B with you j 8 which one is the first to discover the system whereby A can m«n«« . * ** hie opponent, no matter what efforts B may make t« -ftgft-j 8 p . ca P tnre
