NUMBER OF BEQUESTS.
LOCAL INSTITUTIONS BENEFIT. LATE MR. ALEXANDER BELL. Bequests totalling £2400 have been made to Auckland institutions under the will of the late Mr. Alexander Bell pioneer fanner, of the Rangitikei and Waikato districts, who died at his home Rcmuera, on July 24. Details of the bequests are as follows: Evelyn Firth Home, £500*; Sovervell Presbyterian Church, £500; Auckland Hospital, £500; Jubilee Institute for the Blind £500; Leslie Orphanage, £300; Sisters of the Poor, £100. Gift to Blind Institute. A donation of £500 to the Institute fof the Blind lias been made by Mr. John Marshall, of Rcmuera. The amount will be placed to the credit of the capital fund. This is the second donation of £500 which Mr. Marshall has made recently.
