Mr. A. D. Paisley, managing director of the Goldberg Advertising Agency. Ltd., Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Captain Foster, of the Union Steamship Company, Wellington, is in Auckland, and is staying at Hotel Cargen. Mr. Rowley Hill, of 16, Cameron Street, Takapuna, joined the Royal Xavy 77 years ago yesterday (August 12, 1851). Dr. F. J. Rayner left by the Tofua on Saturday cm a trip round the Pacific Islands.' Mr. A. E. Hefiford, Inspector of Fisheries, of Wellington, is at present in Auckland. He is at the Star HoteL Mr. R. Smith, Mr. K. G. Begg, Mr. L. A. Gandy, and Mr. Cotterill (Wellington) are at the Central HoteL Dr. H. Easterfield. of Dunedin. is in Auckland. He is staying at the Central Hotel. Mr. T. Brook, Valuer-General, of Wellington, is visiting Auckland, and is staying at the Star Hotel. Staying at Albert Hotel are: Mr. R. Kelly (Wellington), Mr. E. Forley (Wellington). Mr. A. M. McMillan (Sydney), and Mr. Roy Johnson (Christchurch). Mr. G. C. Godfrey, Secretary of Marine, Wellington, is in Auckland," and is at the Star HoteL He will return to Wellington this evening. Guests at Hotel Cargen include Mr. H. W. Clarke (Wellington), Mr. and Mrs. Trevor Bloomfield (Waiuku), and Mr. J. Xelson-Lane (Napier). Mr. J. H. Weir and Mr. L. Vincent (Christchurch) and Mr. A. Pope, Mr. E. F. Willoughbv, Mr. A. H. Goff, Mr. F. W. Aickin, and Mr. J. T. Growea (Wellington) are staying at the Star Hotel.
The Rev. Cecil A. B. Watson, vicar of St. Paul s Church, left last evening for Wellington, where he will attend the annual meeting of the Anglican Board of Missions.
W. McH. Forraan arrived by the Niagara to-day to assume the position of general manager for New Zealand of General Motor?. Other officials of the conjpanv who are en route to Sydney are Mr.' Frank Young and Mr. C. P. Leahy, associated with the Finance Corporation of the company.
