PHILESTINE'S REVEL.

There waft a splendid attendance at the Philistines' revel held on Saturday evening. Mr. Walter F. Boyle, introduced by Mr. H. E. Gillespie, was in the chair.

In his opening speech, Mr. Boyle welcomed Mr. C. M. Croft, Miss Sybil Martin, M. Paul Serre, Mr. and Mrs. Sykes, and Dr. Brown, who were among the visitors present. An excellent programme was provided.. Bass solos were sung by Mr. Hugh Woods, Miss Bettina Edwards delighted in a Spanish dance, stories of hie experiences in various countries were told by M. Paul Serre, Miss Laura Walker (soprano) and Miss Beryl Smith (contralto) sang, and Miss Nancy Redstone gave a number of sketches. Humorous items were given by Mr. Alan McElwain and selections by Barry Ingalls' Hawaiian Orchestra were played. The accompanists for the evening were Mrs. B. E. Bird and Miss I. Blewden.
