Mr. J. Reid, stationmaster at Napier, was a passenger to Auckland by the Limited express this morning.

Captain Col beck and Mr. Duxfield, who also have been attending the conference, came back this morning.

Dr. W. H. Pettit and Mrs. Pettit, who have been on a visit to Helencville, have returned to Auckland.

Dr. ('. J. Reakes, Director-General of Agriculture, arrived in Auckland from Wellington this morning.

Captain H. JL Rushbrook, of Bay of Islands, who has been attending the Farmers' Union Conference at Wellington, returned North by the Limited express this morning. Mr. K. Smith, M.P. Waiinarino, left the Limited express at Ohakune this morning. Messrs. F. Bartram, M.P. for Grey Lynn, and .1. W. Jones, M.P. for Marxlen, were passengers to Auckland by the same train.

Mr. Lee Martin, M.P. for Raglan, and Mrs. Martin, and Air. and Mrs. S. P. S. Martin, of Wellington, arrived by the Limited to-day to attend the 91st anniversary of their mothers birthday, which takes place to-day.

Alajor K. Furse. of the British Colonial Office, and Air. R. Robinson, Technical Commissioner to the British Forestry Commission, are passengers to New Zealand on the Mamma, which is due to arrive in Wellington from Sydney oil Tuesday next.

Mr. E. P. Moir, chief clerk at Railways Head Office, Wellington, will succeed Jlr. H. A. l'enn as traffic superintendent to the North Island Divisional Superintendent. with headquarters at Auckland. It had been announced that Air. H. C. Cuiness, of ( hri.-tchurch. would succeed Air. Penn, but, advice was received this morning that the change had been made.
