UNEMPLOYMENT.
urcBEAtE nr cm. LABOUR DEPARTMENT'S FIGURES. There has been a slight increase in the imeni ploy me nt position in the city during- the past week. There are now 816 men registered at the Labour Department's bureau as requiring positions, as compared with 803 last Saturday. Of the former number 637 men are capable of heavy work, and 179 are suitable for light employment. Paring the -week the Itepartment succeeded in placing 127 men in positions as compared with 59 the previous week.
