MINE ENTRANCE BLOCKED.
SUDDEN FALL OF EAKTH. MANAGER RELEASES MEN. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, Tuesday. The entrance of the Moanataiari mine was blocked to-day by a fall oi earth The mine manager, Mr. 5. Baker who was outside at tie time rusned to another entrance, and, kicking open & licht barrier, released the miners before tlfev knew of the mishap. The fall will take several days to o!oar - A landslide also _ occurred last night near the mouth of the Lucky Sliot mine, which 'war- empty at the tinm Workmen will be engaged for Beveal l«lays. in removing the fall. ~
