FIRST PRIZE FOR BOYS.

A PEEP AT JACK HOBBS. LONDON, July 20. "I should reserve this as a prize for the best boys," said the Prince of Wales as he peeped through a circular window commanding an enticing view of the Oval Cricket Ground. It was on the top floor of the new building of Archbishop Tenison's Grammar School, which the Prince opened. All the windows of the school are fitted with obscure plass excepting the one through which the Prince looked. The architect explained that this was done, not because the Oval authorities objected to a free view of a game, but because he did not want the attention of the boys distracted. The Prince's request for an extension of the summer holidays was greeted with such prolonged cheering that it caused the Prince to remark: "It sounds as if Hobbs has scored another century."
