Move To Abolish Ancient Rites. REVOLUTIONARY IDEALS. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Received 11 a.m.) SHANGHAI, July 24. Further evidence of the Nationalist determination to abolish all traces of ancient China is contained in a message from Peking, renamed Peiping, stating that all Manchu marriage rite?, funeral ceremonies and processions customary for centuries must be abolished.
