MOTORING ACCIDENTS.
TRUCK AND CAR COLLIDE. GIRL SLIGHTLY INJTT !'.!>. CBj Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) MANUREWA, this day. A new sedan car. driven by Mr. T. E. H. Evans, poultry keeper, of Hill Road, Manurewa, collided last evening with a light truck, driven by a youth named Harry Barker, also of Manurewa. Barker and three friends, Miss Eva Jeffs, and her young brothers, Fred and Noel, had a remarkable escape, and none was seriously injured, although all except the driver were thrown out violently. One youth fell on to the radiator of the sedan. Miss Jeffs was cut on the head and received other minor injuries. Mr. Evans was not hurt.
The accident occurred at the junction of Station Road and the station approach, beneath an electric light, in a heavy rainstorm. The truck was badly damaged, but the car escaped lightly.
