C.O.D. PARCELS.
The Federation of Drapers, Clothiers and Boot Retailers has prepared a petition for circulation in each electorate of the Dominion, praying that the C.OJ). parcel system be abolished. The executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand at its recent meeting decided to co-operate in a deputation which would later approach the Government on the subject. It was stated that the Advisory Committee of the New Zealand Farmers' Union had asked for an extension of the C.OJ). system to inland towns, but the Post- | master-General had advised that he did | not favour such action being taken.
