WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

LIDDELL—FROST. On June 27 a pretty wedding was conducted in the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. Haynes, Te Pua„ Helensville, when Oliver Porter, youngest son of Mrs. M. A. and the late Andrew Liddell, of Balfour, and Myra Jeanne Simpson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Frost, Helensville, were mafrried. The bride looked charming in a simple frock of pale pink silk, with veil and coronet adding modest effect, perfected by a beautiful shower bouquet. Miss Edna Frost, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid. She wore a pale blue silk dress, and carried a dainty hand bouquet. The duties of best man were most capably filled by Mr. David Havnes. Mr. James Mudford, Brethren minister, of Dargaville, and an old friend of the bridegroom, conducted the service. Aftei the ceremony the company present, including the mother and father of the bride and a few friends, partook of a sumptuous wedding breakfast, in wliici the usual toasts were honoured.

HOMERSHAM—PEMBERTON. Christ Church, Taumarunui, was the scene of a very pretty and interesting wedding on Wednesday evening, July IS, when Miss Constance Edith Pemberton, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sefton Pemberton, Temuka, South Canterbury, was married to Mr. Hugh Maxwell Homersham, fourth son of the late Mr. Charles Homersham and >r rs. Homersham, Ankopae, King Country. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. Bruce Pemberton, of Temuka, and the ceremonv was performed by the Rev. Mr. 'Stanley, of Ohakune. The bride was charmingly gowned in oyster white crepe de chine, with heavily beaded skirt and silver fringe. Her tulle veil was daintilv embroidered and effectively arranged", anc! she carried a beautiful bouquet of pink white and mauve carnations and maidenhair fern. Miss Eleanor Pemberton, of Waitomo, a sister of the bride, was a dainty bridesmaid in her pink taffeta frock with \an Dyok hem, yoke and splash bow of eau de nil. A beaded circlet of eau de nil was worn on the hair, and a bouquet of carnations and fern completed a pretty ensemble. Mr. A. J. -Allison acted as best man. A reception was held at the conclusion of the ceremony, and Mrs. Homersham (senior) received a large number of and wore a handsome frock of black silk with lace panel back and front over : nn] satin.
