Hicks, of Wanganui. arlived in Auckland, by the Limited express this morning. Mr. G. L. Kirby. of Rotorua, and Mr. A. McCall and Mr. R. Somerville, of Wellington. are at the Star Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Lou Handman, of Xew York. Mr. W. Stephens, of New Plymouth. and Mr. Gladstone Hill and Mr. T. A. McCaskey. of Wellington, are at the Albert Hotel. Central Hotel guests include Mr. and Mrs. W Morton. Mr. S. V. Bond. Mr. H. Patience, and Mr. A. Gavey, of Wellington. Mr. G. \Y. Gieson. of Dannevirke. and Mr. H. A. Goudie, of Rotorua. Mr. P. G. £keates. Mayor of Birkenhead. who, with Mrs. Skeates leaves next Tuesdav on a visit to Honolulu, was cranted six weeks' leave of absence bv the Waitemata Electric Power Board yesterday. Mr. . J. TToldsworth. chairman of the Auckland Electric Power Board. Mr. P. H. Hartley, general manager, and Mr. X. M. Speer, secretary, left for Wellington last evening to attend a conference of power boards. Staying at the Grand Hotel are Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Doughty. Mr. W. Hill, and Mr. T.. S. Elsey. of Wellington, and Mr. and Mrs. Innes Randolph, of Xew York, Mr. T. X. Tate, of Xew Plymouth, and Mr. A. Todd and Mr. D. Todd, of Christchurcli.
