JOINING IN THE FUN.
A smoke concert without hot savelovs I'ke corned beef without carrots, and those in charge of the catering at the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club's smoke concert at Wellington on Saturday night saw to it that the members were not disappointed in this respect. Mention of this was made bv the vicecommodore (Mr. J. E. L. Cull) when he proposed the toast of the club's patron, his Excellency the Governor-General, and he expressed the hope that the distinguished \isitor would find the fare to his liking. In his reply. Sir Charles Fergu.»;on said that he would eniov himself in any case. and. he added. "I shall enjov myself doubly if that particular comestibie is produced."' (Laughter.) His Excellency was as good as" his word when the saveloys appeared on the table.
