FARMERS' POLITICAL PARTY.
DOMINION CONFERENCE MOOTED. (My Telegraph—Press Association.) DANNE VIRKE, this day. The provincial executive of the Southern Hawke's Bay Farmers' Union discussed a Nelson remit ptopoiing that a Dominion conference be held for the purpose of forming a farmers' political party. Major McDonnell moved a motion supporting the proposal, but it was rejected in favour of an amendment, which was carried by five votes to four, instructing delegates to oppose the remit. The delegates stated that although they would carry out their instructions they would express their own views on ■ the subject at the conference.
