KAWATIRI DUE 630 P.M. OMANA ARRIVED. The only vessel due to-day from overseas ports is the Kawatiri with coal from Newcastle. She expects to arrive about 6.30 p.m. Coal and hardwood from Newcastle and Port Stephens are being discharged at the King's wharf by the Lamb steamer Omana, which arrived late yesterday afternoon. She is due here tomorrow and will berth at the Prince's wharf. The Kalmanawa arrived this morning from Westport and berthed at the Central wharf. She is to sail again for Westport on Tuesday. The Katoa arrived this morning from Southern ports and berthed at the Prince's wharf. The Waipiata was to sail early this afternoon for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Oamaru and Timaru. The Wingatui left Dunedin at 10 p.m. yesterday for Auckland, via Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. The Kaitoke was loading at Westport to-day, and Is expected to leave on Monday for New Plymouth and Auckland. NORTHERN COMPANY'S MOVEMENTS. Projected Departures. The Toa is to replace the Hauturu on the West Coast, while the latter vessel comes round to Auckland for overhaul next week. The Claymore is to lie up for overhaul, the Waiotahi replacing her in the Whangarei service. The Mako arrived this morning from East Coast bays, and berthed at the King's wharf. She was to sail again at 2 p.m. The Northern Company advises that the Taniwha is to sail for Paeroa at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow, and is to leave there on her return trip at 11 a.m. on Monday. The Coronation was to sail this afternoon for Awanui. From San Francisco, via Wellington, the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company's tanker Scalaria, 5683 tons, is expected at Auckland next Wednesday. She will unload the remainder of her bulk oil cargo into the Shell Company's tanks at Freeman's Bay. From Adelaide, Edithburg and Melbourne, via southern ports, the Kartigi reached Auckland yesterday afternoon. She is at Prince's wharf. After discharge she will be dispatched for Westport to load coal for Auckland. From Newcastle, .the steamer Balls Head arrived at Lyttelton this morning to enter the New Zealand coastal trade under the auspices of the Union Co. She is scheduled to load at Greymouth on Friday next for Auckland. An expected arrival at Auckland on Tuesday next is the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer. Port Bowen, with general cargo from New York. She has been alloted a berth at the Queen's wharf. Her other ports of discharge are Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. THE WAIPAHI. To load another cargo of fruit for Auckland, the Union Co.'s steamer Waipahi la to sail on Wednesday for Rarotonga, Aitutaki and Mangaia. PIRI LEFT MELBOURNE. Bringing explosives for Greymouth, Westport and Auokland, the Nobel auxiliary schooner Piri is reported to have left Melbourne yesterday. TAMAROA AT LONDON. Cabled advice from London states that tfce Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tamaroa arrived there from Wellington on Thursday last. KAWATIRI TO PAY OFF. Due at Auckland at 6.30 p.m. to-day, the Union Co.'s steamer Kawatiri is to pay off on arrival. She has a full cargo of coal from Newcastle ior discharge at the Western wharf. TEKOA AT NAPIER. To continue loading for Atlantic Coast ports and London, the New Zealand Shipping Co.'s steamer Tekoa arrived at Napier from Wellington this morning. Thence she is to come to Auckland, via Gisborne, to till up, being due here on August 1. She is to sail finally on August 3. YARROWVILLE COMING. The Vacuum Oil Company has received advice that its tanker Yarrowville is scheduled to reach Auckland on Aug«st 10 with a full cargo of bulk oil from San Francisco. She will unload a quantity of cargo into the company's tanks at Freeman's Bay and the remainder at Australian ports. NIAGARA AT VANCOUVER. Cabled advice from Vancouver confirms the arrival there, at 6 a.m. yesterday, of the l.'niou Company's li. M.s. Niagara, with passengers, mails and cargo from Sydney, Auckland, Suva and Honolulu. She is scheduled to leave Vancouver on her return voyage on Wednesday next, and is due at Auckland on August 13. THE MAUI POMARE. Having left Wellington yesterday afternoon, the Government motor ship Maui Pomare cxpects to reach Auckland at 8 p.m. to-morrow. She is to berth at the King's wharf to complete discharge of her cargo of fruit from Apia and Niue. Owing to the vessel having been delayed in the south, she will not now sail for Norfolk Island until 10 p.m. on Monday. ULIMAROA FOR WELLINGTON. According to a cabled report from Sydney, the Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa left for Wellington at one o'clock yesterday afternoon with passengers, mail and cargo. The vessel is due at Wellington on Tuesday and is to sail on her return trip to Sydney on Friday. She is the only Sydney passenger 'steamer arriving at or leaving New Zealand next week. I MARAMA AND MAHENO. Taking passengers, mails and cargo for Sydney, the Marama was dispatched from Auckland yesterday afternoon. The Maheno, also for Sydney, left Wellington shortly after noon yesterday. Both vessels are due at Sydney on Tuesday next, and are scheduled to leave there again the following Friday, the Maheno for Auckland and the Marama for Wellington. They are "ue at their respective ports on July 31. OMANA FROM PORT STEPHENS. An arrival at Auckland yesterday afters noon was the Lamb steamer Omana (Capt. J. Benton), with coal from Newcastle and hardwood poles from Port Stephens. The local portion of her cargo is being discharged at the King's wharf to the agency of the Northern S.S. Co. The remainder is for Gisborne, Dargaville and Hokianga. The Omana sailed from Port Stephens at 7 a.m. on July 13. and experienced strong fiorth-east winds and rough seas for the first three days. Afterwards the wind changed to the east and blew with gale force. The gale moderated after the vessel rounded the North Cape on Thursday afternoon, but the conditions continued boisterous until the shelter of the Hanraki Gulf was reached. BORDERER DISCHARGING. Arriving shortly after one o'clock yesterday afternoon, the steamer Borderer (Capt. W. A. Hanna) berthed at the Prince's wharf to commence unloading general cargo from New York to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Co. It is hoped to dispatch her for Wellintgon. Lyttelton and Dunedin on Monday. The Borderer is usually employed in the South African and Indian cargo service. On her present voyage she left Liverpool last May and proceeded in Ballast to New York. She sailed from New York on June 13 and called at Norfolk for bunkers, resuming her voyage on June 14. Colon was reached on June 21 and Balboa was cleared the following day. Fine weather prevailed until July 10, when an easterly gale was encountered which continued for four days. Afterwards the weather moderated, but a heavy south-east swell was experienced during the remainder of the voyage. The crew numbers 67 all told, of whom 18 are Europeans and the remainder Indians.
