MR. -ALLEN'S CANDIDATURE. NO INTENTION TO WITHDRAW. 'T have no intention of withdrawing from the contest," said Mr. Ernest Richard Allen, the official United party candidate for the Auckland Suburbs seat. Mr. Allen said some confusion had been caused by the selection of Mr. Ebenezer Allan as the United party candidate for the new Hauraki seat, and the omission of his name from a recently published list of candidates for Suburbs. It was his fixed intention to go to the poll in spite of what had been said.

Holland, Leader of the Opposition, is being considered as a candidate for the Dunedin South seat are denied by Labour organisers.
