MRS. W. CONNOR
MISS CARRIE KNIGHT
Cable ad\ ice lias boon received from London of the death of Mrs. W. Connor, wife of Mr. W. Connor, representative of Messrs. Macky, Logan and Caldwell at London. Mrs. Connor will be best remembered as Miss Carrie Knight, who for years was one of Auckland's leading vocalists. She has resided for some years in London, and leaves a husband and two children to mourn her loss. Mrs. Laws, of South Australia, Miss Daphne Knight, of Khvber Pass. Mrs. Keenan, of Epsom, and" Miss Caroline Knight, of Melbourne, are sisters of the deceased lady. Prior to her marriage Miss Carrie Knight was a very popular vocalist in Auckland. For a number of years she was .a soloist at concerts of the Auckland Choral Society, and sang at many concerts in tl i> <-itv. She also took part in perform;i • the Auckland Amateur Operat ; c :y.
