THE LAW BALL.

This v/as me eleventh annual ball, and by the , enthusiasm rhovvn it. proved that the function was a similar success as it ' had been in other years. The decoration-; were carried out 111 coloured lights and scarlet balloons. Uamboo plants, from which tiny fairy lights. twinkled forth, lined the entrance to the ballroom. The ceiling over the dance floor was a network of balloon.!, which wire hung in large festoons from points in the room, meeting at the centre. Blue and yellow streamers also added to the effect. Swinging baskets of fern, bamboo, and coloured lights, transformed the stage into a attractive lounge, and on the supjr.-r tables, doivnetains, spring ami masses of greenery were used for decoration. While the pro-' grammes were being filled, the orchestra played ''Poet and Peasant," and afterwards dancing was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
