FORMING ASSOCIATIONS.
ONE IN GRAFTON DISTRICT.
The ratepayers' association movement in Auckland was further extended last evening, when a Ratepayers and Electors' Association for the Grafton district was formed at a meeting held in the Methodist College Hall. The objects and advantages of ratepayers' associations were explained to a good attendance of the public by Mr. H. P. Taylor. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr. James Donald; vicepresidents, Messrs. Kirk and Nicholson; executive committee, Messrs. J. Fleming, J. Lockie, H. A. McGregor, A Asmuss. J. Alderton, S. J. Richards, and Harold Burton, with power to ; dd to their number; secretary, Mr. Claude Allan; treasurer, Mr. J. Crawshaw.
