HOSPITAL FINANCE SYSTEM. DESPITE STRONG PROTESTS. GOVERNMENT NOT TO INTERFERE. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Despite strong representations in favour of revising the system of hospital contributions, in view of heavy demands made by the hospital boards on contributory authorities, Parliament will not be asked to deal with the matter.
It is authoritatively stated that the financial basis of hospital and charitable aid having been revised by Parliament several years ago, when the Government's subsidy scale was improved, th® system cannot be interfered with.
