WAIKATO HUNT.
MEET AT EUREKA HAXX. LARGE REPRESENTATIVE FIELD. The worst weather conditions this hunting season were experienced for the meet at Eureka Hall on Saturday, but despite this there was a very large and representative attendance from all parts of the Waikato. The outlying portions of the hunt's districts /ere very well represented, though there were not a great many Cambridge members present. The field must have totalled fully eighty. Despite the unfavourable weather the hounds worked really well, and four good runs Were enjoyed during the afternoon. No kills were registered, the swampy nature of the country being against the hounds. They took the field over a wide stretch of country, including the properties of Messrs. Clarkin, Johns, Hunter and Murphy. At the close of the afternoon's sport the followers were, entertained to afternoon tea in the hall. The master heartily thanked the Eureka people for their bounteous hospitality.
