LYCEUM CLUB.

Three entertaining one-act plays were performed by members of the Dramatic Circle (Mrs. P. J. Scantlebury, convener) last evening. The lounge was well filled with a most appreciative audience. The first play, entitled "Bobbie Settles Down," was a bright little comedy. It was ably acted by Miss Salek, who took the part of the "frightfully pokey" Agnes; Miss M. Gordon, who played the incorrigible Bobbie; and Mr. L. Kevin, who. was George, a staid schoolmaster. The part of the maid was played by Mrs. C. H. J. Wily. "Gaspers" was the next piece presented. The parts were taken by Miss Maida Hooker, who took the role of the designing flapper, and Mr. Maurice Steadman, who played the part] of the young man. Mr. R. Sawyer was the man asleep on the seat. The whole action, which took place on a park seat, was very cleverly portrayed. The last play was the old favourite, "Between the i Soup and the Savoury." Mrs. Verran was the cook, Mrs. Hobday the maid, and Miss Anita Webster the scullery maid. The parts were played with a keen sense of the comedy, and brought forth rounds of applause. Throughout the evening mitsie was played by Miss Florence Wftlker's quartet, and songs were sung ;by Mrs. Hobday and Mr. Kevin.
