BOARD'S MARKET REPORT.

The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received the following market report from its London office dated May 18, prices for the previous week being given in parentheses:—

Butter.—New Zealand: Salted, 166/ to 170/ per cwt (182/ to 168/); unsalted, 168/ to 176/ (168/ to 176/). Deliveries of New Zealand this week, 1060 tons; in store, 4000. Australian; Finest lalted, 150/ to 160/ (152/ to 150/). Irish creamery: Salted, 106/ to 168/ (160/ to 102/); unsalted, 170/ to 172/ (164/ to 106/;. Danish: Spot, 178/ to 180/ (179/ to 180/); f.0.b., 170/ to 172/ (170/ to 171/). Dutch creamery: Unsalted, 170/ to 172/ (168/ to 170/). Estonian: Salted, 100/ to 161/ (160/); unsalted, 163/ (102/). Polish: Unsalted, 150/ (156/). Siberian: 154/ to 150/ (130/ to 152/). Market steady. Retail prices unchanged. Cheese. —New Zealand: White and coloured, 05/ to 97/ per cwt (90/ to 97/). Improved demand this end of the week. Australian: Coloured, 99/ to 95/ (98/ to 95/). Canadian: Finest white, 112/ to 114/ (112/ to 114/); coloured, 108/ to 112/ (109/ to 112/). Market st^dy. The weather in Northern Hemisphere producing countries is generally cold and unfavourable. The spring increase in production is therefore delayed.

The Mahana completed discharge of butter on May 11, the Cambridge on May 12, and the Middlesex, butter and cheese, on May 14. Steamers arrived this week as follows:—Port Hunter, commenced discharge of cheese on May 12 and completed on May 15; Rotonja, commenced discharge on May 14; Ruapehu, discharge of produce not yet commence^ The board has also received advice from its agents in Canada as follow:—Butter: New York, 46 cents (1/11); Montreal, 34Vt cents (1/5%); San Francisco, 42 cents (1/9). W. G. Paviour Smith yesterday received from the Anglo-Continental Produce Company, Limited, Z*>ndon, the following cablegram:—Butter, 168/, market fiim but quiet; cheese, 96/ to 97/, market steady.
