HUSBAND'S REFUSAL TO RETURN.

Three undefended petitions in divorce came before Mr. Justice Blair in the Supreme Court yesterday.

A decree nisi wag made in favour of Nina Dorothy Carter (Mr. Moody), ■who petitioned for a dissolution of her marriage with Bertram Benjamin Carter, on the ground of separation extending over three years. She was granted custody of the one child of the marriage. Failure to comply with an order for restitution of conjugal rights was the ground on which George McPherson (Mr. Moody) was granted a decree nisi, to be made absolute after three months, against Annie May McPherson. Petitioner said he was married in 1921. There were no children. On November 17 he filed a petition for restitution of conjugal rights, but his wife had not returned. Olive Emily Elizabeth Everiss (Mr. Moody) was granted an order for the restitution of conjugal rights against Arthur William Everiss. Petitioner said she was married in 1912 and there were four children. Her husband left home last January. In response to both verbal and written requests to return, he had replied stating that he had no intention of doing so and that she could do what she liked in the matter.
