LISTENING-IN TO LONDON.
SOUTHERN AMATEUR'S SUCCESS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGiILL, Monday. An Auckland message saying that fttation FCJJ, Holland, had been clearly received there prompted an Inveroargill radio enthusiast, who possesses a twovalve set, to relate that he has heard FCJJ on 31 metres since last Wednesday, reception -being splendid.
He aays that every morning before breakfast he hears SSW, Chelmsford, on 24 metres, and Big Ben's strike is clearly heard, also the items relayed from Daly's Theatre and the Savoy, London, while a lecture recently delivered by a Harley Street specialist came through word perfect.
He added that he has also been in touch with RFM, Siberia, and a Japanese station.
