MINE .MANAGERS BEPOSXS. Alburnia.—The manager reports that th* drive on the dropper going north has bees extended from 372 ft to 387 ft. The InM shows a width of abont 12 inches, and to a more solid body than thai reported tost week. The quartz is of good chaiaefeft and continues to show blende and a. £004 class of nifneral. The country rock now to of a much firmer nature on both sides of the reef and is of a splendid class. Knranui. —The manager reports that driving north on the leader that was met with in the crosscut, has been commenced, a distance of 7ft having been driven tor thr- week. The leader averages abont ffln wide and is encased in a nice class of country. The quartz broken still shows some very nice mineral and silica, lmt so far no gold has been seen. The risa on the Ross reef has been extended a further Sft for the week, making a total of 12ft from the level. The leader averages from 4in to 6in wide, and the qnarts broken looks very promising, showing a little gold in the dish, but so far no gold lias been seen in the stone. The country being met with in this rise at present is nor of the same favourable nature as at the start. Moanataiari. —The manager reports that during the week the following wort has been in progress. Good progress has been made with the rise, and there is now approximately only six feet to go to hol« through to the level. At the main level the winch lias been dismantled, and good headway has been made in cleaning np the level. Two or three more shifts will complete this work. Several necessary repairs hare been effected in the mill. New Waiotahi.—The mine manager reports that, tlip drive hillward for the \Vaiotahi-Cambria reef has been advanced 4ft for the week, making the total distance from the point of deviation 347 ft. The country continues a very hard grey andesite. The drive towards the Caledonian reef has been advanced Oft for the week, making the total distance driven 52 feet.
