New Tennis Stadium At Anteuil. SPECIAL AIR TRANSPORT. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Received IX a.m.) PARIS, May 20. The new French tennis stadium at Auteuil, the centre court, of which accommodates 10,000, where the hard court championships and the Davis Cup challenge round will be played, has been opened.

The Compagnie Aerienne Francaise has been authorised to run a seaplane service with terminis at Calais dock and Dover harbour, to connect with boat trains. The crossing will take fifteen minutes, in which, as an official points out, there is no time to be either sea sick or air sick.

The fleet in the first place will consist of four or five small 'planes, carrying two or three passengers. It may later be increased. Special trains are running to connect therewith. The seivice is expected to start on July 15.

At Helsingfors Crole-Rees and Eames (Britain) beat Grahn and Grotenfelt (Finland), 6—3, 6—2, 6—2; Gregory beat Granholm, 6 —2, 6—1,. 6—2.

In the Davis Cup matches in the second round at Rome Italy defeated Rumania. In the doubles Morpurgo and Gasiiui defeated Luppu and Dorner, 6—2, 6—4, 4—6, 3—6, ti—4, and Stefani defeated Luppu, 3—6, 6—4, 6—4, 5—7, 9—7. Italy will now meet India in the third round.

At Helsingfors, in the match between Britain and Finland, Gregory defeated Grahn (Finland), 6—<), I—6, 6—l, 6—l; Higgs (Britain) defeated Grotenfelr, 6—2, 6—l, 2—6, 6—o.

At Berlin Germany defeated Spain. Germany will meet the winner of the match between Britain and Finland.

The youngest player ever to be chosen for a Davis Cup team is Wilbur Coen, aged 16, of Kansas City, who yesterday with Hennessy Lott and Tilden was selected as a member of the American team which will meet China at Kansas City on May 25. They will go to Europe on June 9 if they win, to meet the winner in the European zone. Hunter, who is now in Europe, will also be a member of the team.
