TAUMARUNUI, Monday
There was a large attendance on the links on Saturday when the Taumarunul Golf Club'ji season was declared open by the president, Mr. W. Hughes. Afternoon tea was provided for visitors and players by Miss Hughes, assisted by members of tbe ladies' committee. The links were In good order, and a mixed foursome match was played over 12 holes. Hughes and Miss Corlett were the winners with a gross score of 59, and a net wore of 45. A. Richter and Mm. C. Moore (68 —17—51 > and It. Thomas and Miss Roache (68—17 —51), tied for second place.
