AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE. Business continues good on 'Change as far as investment stocks are concerned, but apart from Waihi shares little attention is paid to mining. A Bale of Waihi's took place yesterday afternoon at 11/4, and to-day an extra twopence was offered, but no seller quoted. P. and O. deferred stock sold to-day at £251, and more could be placed at 20/ under that figure, but sellers now ask £255. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile ordinary stock are still wanted at £102, and that figure was offered to-day for Mount £den Borough 6 per cent debentures. More sales occurred in Wilson's Cement at 38/3, with buyers still left at that rate. Holden's Motors advanced a little, sales being made yesterday afternoon at 29/9, which price could still be got. New Zealand Breweries firmed a little, sales being made to-day at 46/6, and the debentures sold yesterday afternoon at 24/. and Scottish Bank shares changed hands yesterday afternoon at £8 9/, and Bankj of Australasia fractions at 9/. Sales were made to-day of New Zealand Bank shares Insurance shares are having a little business, New Zealands selling at 41/, and South British at 59/9. Union Oil shares firmed this morning to buyers at 40/6, and iluddart-Parker Steam could be placed at 47/6. Sales were made of British Tobacco at 40/6, and Goldsbrough Mort at 49/6. BUSINESS. DONE.
