NAVAL CAREER ENDED.
COMMANDER DANIEL RETIRES.
(Australian and X.Z. Press Association.)
LOXDOX, April 22.
The "Daily Chronicle" says Com* mander H. M. Daniel, who was dismissed from the battleship Royal Oak recently, says he will enter a civil profession. He has no complaint against the Admiralty for its treatment of him, but with such a sentence on record ho has no hope of promotion. He has satisfied himself that the only form of employment in the Navy that would be given him would be of a nature that would make no appeal to his ambitions.
