Auckland Training College defeated WhaDgarei High School Old Boys by 17 to & Tries were gained for the winners by Mason, Abbott (2). Hill and Mackev. Abbott converted one. For Old Bovs O Brien scored a try which Webbe converted, and the latter also kicked a penalty goal. * Heavy rain cleared just before the commencement. and the turf was in good order. The handling by the College team was surprisingly good for a first g»m» and the team work more than compensated for their lighter weight. Mason retired injured at half-time.
