MR. ARCHIBALD GRANDISON.
A well-known builder, Mr. Archibald Honeyvnan Grandison, died at the residence of his son, at Pukekohe, aged 70 years. Mr. Grandison was born and educated in Scotland, where he also learned the "business of building. He came to Auckland in 1882 by the lonic, and started in business as a builder and contractor. Amongst the works carried out by Mr. Grandison were the old Auckland Museum, and additions to the premises of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency. He also built Egmont Hotel, at Hawera, large sheds on the wharf, and buildings connected with the railway at Rotoru. Mr. Grandison' was for many years an elder of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Symonds Street, and superintendent of the Sunday School. As a. young man he was a cricketer, bowler, and golfer.
