MR. JOHN McDOUGALL.
Mr. John McDougall, who had been in charge of the stevedoring department of the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company, Auckland, for some years, and who was well known on the Auckland waterfront, passed away this morning after a short illness. He was born in Tarbert, Loch Fyne, Argyllshire, and in 1889 came to New Zealand. After serving for some years in the Union Company's and Northern Steamship Company's steamers, he joined the Shaw, Savill staff in 1919.
" The late Mr. McDougall was known as an expert stevedore, and was well respected by both employers and waterside workers.
