OTAMATEA DOC TRIALS.

MAUNGATUROTO, Saturday.
The Otamatea sheep dog trials were begun yesterday, under excellent conditions and before a record attendance of the public. Forty-three dogs competed in the long head event. Results: Mr. F. Massey's Billy, 42 points, 1; Mr. H. Sloane's Don, 40, 2; Mr. J. C. Ambury's Rogue, 39, 3; Mr. J. H. Thompson's Flo, 37J,
The work of the dogs generally in this event was not particularly good.
